The posted compensation range of $52.22 - $85.32 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. - Maintains standards for professional staff behavior in the department. Provides staff with constructive feedback on performance in a timely manner. Utilizes HR policies on progressive corrective action to address unresolved staff issues. Models professional behavior and collaboration for staff. Actively creates a fair and just culture. Actively supports leadership in shared goals.
- Seeks opportunities for staff development in a variety of aspects in the clinical setting. Assesses staff knowledge level. Identifies learning needs of staff. Coordinates education opportunities for staff and schedules appropriately. Promotes the delivery of new processes for staff and ensures compliance. Influences and supports staff to expand professional development in their area of practice.
- Monitors staff adherence to assignments and duties. Delegates appropriate activities to responsible staff. Uses acuity tracking system for staffing and patient care assignments.
- Able to effectively manage personnel relating to productivity. Flexes staff to meet census levels and productivity goals. Proactively anticipates staffing needs and plans appropriately. Assigns breaks and lunches to staff and ensures compliance.Takes actions to assure staff is able to complete patient care within limits of shift. Maintains overtime approval process. Reviews and maintains supply utilization.
- Knowledgeable of all regulatory agency standards for patient and staff requirements. Provides staff education to standards. Monitors for staff compliance and adherence to requirements. Conducts or assigns audits/observation to ensure compliance. Ensures the unit remains “survey ready” at all times.
- Uses applicable computer programs to enhance patient and employee communication. Proficient in Microsoft & Google Workspace applications. Demonstrates competency in utilization of the EHR. Demonstrates breadth and/or depth of professional/technical skills and capabilities required for position; shares knowledge; sets or contributes to the Company's direction within area of expertise.
Job Requirements
Required
- Associate Of Nursing (ADN) with progression towards obtaining Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within three years of hire.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a registered nurse.
- Registered Nurse: CA (RN), upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS), upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), upon hire
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Nursing (BSN) upon hire and
- One year leadership experience
