The posted compensation range of $66.26 - $98.56 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Director Performance Insights, you will be accountable for clinical, financial and operational strategy for Population Health.

Every day you will drive the development and implementation of the strategy for data capture and analysis from multiple sources (internal and external) and ensure the consistency and quality needed to support population health initiatives and decision-making. This position collaborates with a variety of stakeholders including the PHSO leadership team, Payer Strategy, Clinical Quality and Risk, and IT to adopt best practices and make recommendations on data infrastructure and provide analytic insights.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in value based/population health initiatives, exceptional data management skills, and outstanding communication and project management skills.

As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.

  • Lead and manage the operations of the Performance Insights team including the orienting, developing, and managing a staff of managers and analysts.
  • Drive the development and implementation of the strategy for data capture and analysis. Synthesize data from multiple internal and external sources to build evidence that drives the clinical, financial and operational strategy.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Population Health initiatives with data analyses, reports, dashboard development and maintenance, and presentations as needed.
  • Lead cross-functional financial performance analyses by partnering with Finance, Actuarial, Contracting, Clinical Operations, and Analytics teams to evaluate the impact of new and revised value-based reimbursement strategies, payment methodologies, contract provisions, and rate structures, translating findings into actionable recommendations that support organizational performance and sustainable value-based care.
  • Prepare and effectively present VBA analysis results to senior leadership, Operations/Population Health leaders, and other key stakeholders, for review and decision-making.
  • Act as a critical and collaborative partner to executive leaders in finance, operations, clinical, and human resources, ensuring the team's data products address their most pressing strategic needs and close data gaps across departments.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Eight (8) years experience in large healthcare organizations and/or integrated healthcare delivery systems, with (5) years experience in a managed care organization
  • Five (5) years strategic leadership of population health operations, clinical/operational/financial analytics, and/or healthcare economics in a complex, national or multi-regional healthcare system or health insurance environment
  • Bachelors degree in in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare or related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative ability
  • Training and experience in healthcare analytics, data science and tools such as PowerBI, SQL, Excel
  • Strong background in financial and clinical with value based/population health initiatives
  • Must be able to lead and coordinate projects through various complex and challenging situations to completion under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, and provide formal reports, prepared for leadership at all levels


Preferred

  • Strong MSO/Managed Care experience strongly preferred
  • Masters degree preferred
