The posted compensation range of $69.41 - $103.25 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Position Summary:
The System Director of Analytics oversees and strategizes the data analytics needs of the organization including but not limited to analysis of population health metrics, network clinical, financial, utilization, and patient satisfaction in support of the optimization of PHSO's performance relative to value-based contracts. The Director will lead a team to provide and strategize results for hands on data science and analytics functions for PHSO leadership, day-to-day oversight of the population health analytics team members and collaborate with PHSO leadership and provider network to achieve organizational goals. This leader will work closely with local value hubs to set strategies for translating data to drive best practices and workflow redesign. The position will build crucial connectivity and consensus between technology sources, clinicians, and local leaders for data-driven value-based strategies.
Responsibilities may include:
- Directs and leads PHSO engagement with value hubs for performance insights analytics and report development. Will provide strategical data and informatics reporting on all program/activity.
- Collaborate closely with PHSO senior leaders and network stakeholders to meet the strategic and operational analytics and reporting needs of organization.
- Develops and implements business rules for application in the data analytics platforms utilized by PHSO.
- Oversee and develop data quality and audit processes to ensure the integrity of the analytics and reporting within PHSO.
- Build consensus among various business stakeholders on value-based clinical initiatives through the use of dashboards and value-based data
- Supports the VP as the analytics and insight leader across the population health team, helping to set direction for a multi-disciplinary team of directors, program managers and analysts.
- Collaborates as needed with the Information Technology (IT) team regarding data capture optimization, data file transfers, portals and more to identify and implement best practices in data capture, mapping, and governance in support of clinical and financial insights.
- Supports gain-sharing and risk-sharing calculations in accordance with payer contracts and criteria established by PHSO senior leadership team and analyzes trends and costs of care by provider in the network.
- Helps develop and revise gain-sharing and risk-sharing methodologies based on operational needs and available data.
- Performs ad-hoc analysis in support of the business intelligence needs of the PHSO.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the health plan and/or healthcare operations industry with extensive experience in data analytics, information systems, data warehousing, analytic system implementations, consulting and strategic planning in an MSO and/or Population Health setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration preferred or related field and/or experience will be considered.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with SAS Enterprise Miner and Text Analytics, SAS/STAT, Enterprise Guide, Visual Analytics, Business Rules Manager, Model Manager, SQL and SAS coding. Previous experience with analyzing large datasets and developing data-driven statistical models is required.
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of accounting, supervision, management, written and verbal communication, judgment, problem-solving, presentation and public relations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred seven (7) years of experience in all items stated in required.
- Master’s degree in Health Economics, Health Administration or a related field or experience commensurate with position preferred.
- Previous experience in Accountable Care, specifically Medicare Shared Savings program or Next Generation ACO analytics preferred.
