Responsibilities
This role is crucial for promoting organizational employee health and safety. The Clinical Liaison Educator RN will collaborate with clinical leaders to implement and lead COVID guidelines, and also serve as a key support for mandatory education, emergency preparedness, and the development of policies and protocols in alignment with facility needs and state regulations.
The core responsibilities for this position include:
  • Assisting with the Emergency Preparedness program.
  • Managing facility-wide policies.
  • Overseeing educational and competency needs for the facility.
  • Conducting surveillance and follow-up for employee exposures to communicable diseases, including data tracking.
  • Promoting an environment that encourages patient and family participation in infection prevention (e.g., hand hygiene, isolation precautions).
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to define problems, select solutions, and identify resources, including involvement with the diabetic resource center and patient support.
  • Leading our violence prevention and law enforcement collaboration development efforts.
  • Must attend Train the Trainer session of the MNSCU curriculum provided by Minneapolis Community And Technical College for CNA Educator. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Active Minnesota Registered Nurse Licensure required.
  • One (1) year of Med/Surg nursing experience required. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two to three years of recent acute care work strongly preferred.
