The posted compensation range of $35.38 - $50.69 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. We’re looking for experienced, quick-thinking Registered Nurses who thrive in high-acuity environments and know how to stay grounded when everything around them is moving fast.

In this role, you’ll utilize the full scope of your nursing skills while caring for a diverse patient population—from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.


What You’ll Do

  • Rapid Assessment & Intervention: Quickly evaluate patients, initiate care, and stabilize critical conditions
  • Dynamic Patient Care: Manage a wide range of cases—trauma, cardiac events, acute illness, and more
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and support staff to deliver seamless care
  • Patient & Family Support: Provide clear communication, reassurance, and advocacy during high-stress moments
  • Crisis Management: Stay calm, think fast, and respond effectively in emergent situations
  • Professional Growth: Complete competencies and continue developing advanced clinical skills
  • Leadership: Support and mentor peers while contributing to a strong team culture

Work Agreement

  • Shifts: Day, Mid, Night
  • Shift Length: 12 hours
  • On-Call: None
  • Rotation: Every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holiday

Job Requirements

What You Bring

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid clinical judgment in both routine and emergent situations
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • BLS certification (required upon hire/within orientation)
  • Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, TNCC are preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred, ADN welcome)
  • Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2–4 years of Emergency Department experience required
