The posted compensation range of $80.00 - $80.00 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our PRN Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant),you will join our dynamic team at St. Joseph Medical Group (SJMG) for our Express Care (Urgent Care) clinics in Bryan/College Station, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within a collaborative environment, supporting the vital healthcare needs of our local communities.
In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering essential urgent care services, expertly diagnosing and treating acute conditions, providing comprehensive patient education, and making appropriate referrals. You will also have the flexibility to choose shifts that fit your schedule, contributing to the community's health while enjoying a supportive team environment.
Every shift you will:
- Obtain and accurately record comprehensive medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
- Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including labs.
- Formulate precise diagnoses based on clinical findings and diagnostic results.
- Identify and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic interventions, adhering strictly to relevant state board guidelines and collaborative agreements.
- Provide comprehensive education and counseling to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care.
- Make appropriate and timely referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Contribute to the vital care delivered in our Express Care clinics, selecting shifts (12-hour weekday, 8-hour weekend) that align with your availability.
To be successful in this role, you will bea Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active or eligible license in the state of Texas. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and display exceptional interpersonal skills. Prior Urgent Care experience is beneficial, but new graduates eager to learn and grow are welcome.

Job Requirements
Required:
- Master's or Doctoral Degreefrom an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (Required for certification)
- Board certificationas a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Active or eligible license in the state of Texas
- Strong clinical skillsin assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and episodic illnesses/injuries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsto effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in an urgent care setting
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating adaptability in a fast-paced clinic
