The posted compensation range of $54.84 - $78.30 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Interventional Technologist, you will be responsible for performing specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations under the direction of a licensed physician using radiologic imaging to guide procedures.

Every day, you will review and document pertinent patient history and clinical information, prepare patients for examinations and procedures, and operate advanced imaging equipment including C-arms, fluoroscopy, and tomography to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and procedural data for physician interpretation. You will actively participate in interventional radiology and cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and providing technical expertise that supports accurate diagnoses and successful treatment outcomes.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment.

  • Prepares procedure rooms, imaging equipment, instruments, and supplies according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring all equipment is inspected, functional, and ready for use prior to procedures.
  • Provides patient-centered care for all age groups by explaining procedures, assisting with patient positioning and transfers, addressing questions and concerns, and protecting patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Operates imaging and procedural equipment while utilizing established techniques and protocols to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including interventional radiology, cardiovascular, CT-guided, biopsy, and aspiration procedures.
  • Assists physicians during procedures by maintaining sterile technique, managing procedural devices and equipment, monitoring procedural workflow, and responding appropriately to emergency situations within scope of practice.
  • Collaborates with nursing staff to monitor patient condition during procedures, including blood pressure, heart rate, and cardiac rhythm, and promptly communicates significant changes to the physician.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and regulatory records through imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and electronic medical record systems; prepares cases for interpretation; and supports department operations through inventory management, stocking supplies, data entry, and other administrative duties.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, Interventional Radiology, or Special Procedures Technologist (or equivalent).
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification required.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
