Responsibilities

RN Residency Program-St Johns Hospital Camarillo

Start Date: 

Our next RN Residency program start date will begin on September 15th, 2025. Completion will be based on 100% validation of competencies during your clinical hours.  Our target candidates are nurses who have graduated within one year prior to the start of the program and who have not previously worked as a registered nurse or interim permittee. Application period is open beginning June 15th, 2025, and will close when we receive enough qualified applications per each opening.

Overview: 

The New Graduate Residency Program features a challenging program blending classroom didactics with clinical experience and unit socialization. This program is for recent graduates of RN programs who have graduated within one year prior to the start of the program. YOU MUST HAVE A SCHEDULED NCLEX TEST DATE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.  IT MUST BE ON YOUR RESUME FOR CONSIDERATION. 

Selection Process:

Department and shift selection will be determined upon completion of the interview process.

Timeline:

  • YOU MUST HAVE A SCHEDULED NCLEX TEST DATE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.  IT MUST BE ON YOUR RESUME FOR CONSIDERATION. IMARY SOURCE VERIFICATION OR YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
  • Requisitions posted June 15th, 2025. The postings may be removed early after 100 applications have been received.
  • Interviews will be held in person beginning June 23rd, 2025
  • The first day of Orientation is September 15th, 2025

Qualifications

  • ​Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing within the past 12 months from start of program. 
  • 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience.
  • An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state they will be practicing by start date.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required prior to the start of program.
  • Additional Certifications to be required based on department selection.
