Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a part-time Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician, you will join Circa Women, an independent, physician-owned practice in Sacramento dedicated to providing personalized, high-risk obstetric care. In this role, you will provide comprehensive outpatient services in a modern, well-equipped clinic while serving as a dedicated consultant for regional hospitals. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a growing, patient-focused practice.

Every day you will balance your time between high-quality clinic care and clinical consultation, typically working a three-day-per-week schedule (e.g., M/T/W or M/W/TH). Your responsibilities include providing full-day outpatient clinic services and managing home call coverage approximately 30% of the time. When on call, your morning begins with inpatient rounding at affiliated hospitals, followed by a transition to the office to see patients. To ensure seamless patient care, you will provide vacation coverage for colleagues, with your schedule adjusted periodically to offer full-week coverage when necessary, balanced by decreased coverage during other parts of the month. You will also participate in a rotating weekend call schedule (approximately 30% of weekends).

To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible MFM specialist who values clinical autonomy and a patient-centered philosophy. You should possess the expertise to manage complex, high-risk pregnancies with compassion and efficiency while thriving in an independent, mission-driven environment. We are seeking a collaborative physician who is eager to contribute to a practice that prioritizes meaningful patient relationships and long-term professional satisfaction. For the appropriate candidate, there may be future flexibility to increase hours or even partnership track if working full time.

We are offering a competitive compensation designed for an MFM specialist seeking a flexible, high-impact clinical role with a focus on work-life balance and high-quality patient outcomes. Join Circa Women and advance your career in a supportive clinical setting that values your medical expertise, offers professional autonomy, and provides the opportunity to make a meaningful, long-term impact on the health of our community.

Job Requirements
  • Completion of ACGME accredited residency and fellowship training programs
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Current California medical licensure or ability to obtain it
  • 0+ years of OBGYN MFM practice experience
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Entrepreneurial acumen
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
