The posted compensation range of $37.50 - $51.45 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Supervisor, Materials Management, you will be a pivotal leader, ensuring efficient flow and strategic oversight of all materials handling.

Every day, you'll oversee and coordinate materials management operations, including procurement, inventory, distribution, and logistics. You'll establish protocols, manage vendors, optimize storage, and lead your team to ensure timely supply of essential goods, directly impacting clinical operations and cost-effectiveness.

To be successful, you'll combine strong organizational and logistical expertise with exceptional leadership, a keen eye for process improvement, and meticulous oversight, transforming materials management into a strategic advantage.

  • Supervises supply room employees in the proper, receiving, storing, handling and issuing sterile and non-sterile medical equipment and supplies per organizational standards.
  • Monitors medical equipment/supplies inventory and utilization levels and orders as needed to ensure adequate availability of patient care and treatment materials.
  • Supervises staff conformance with policies and procedures related to the handling, sterilization, cleaning, maintenance, storage, and assembly of patient care supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Assists in management of supply room staff to include performance management, continual improvement, training and education and communication of updates to policies and procedures.
  • Oversees all departmental operations, ensuring full compliance with local, state, corporate, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Other or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree., upon hire
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Materials Management or Accounts Payable within a healthcare organization
  • Three (3) years’ experience in invoice resolution working with requisitioners, vendors and Accounts Payable.
  • High School Graduate, upon hire
  • 1-3 years Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Materials Management within a healthcare organization;, upon hire 
  • Associates Other or 1-3 years Or One (1) yearof experience in Materials Management within a healthcare organization and an Associates Degree., upon hire


Preferred

  • Bachelors Other Degree or a combination ofeducation and/or additional job related., upon hire
