The posted compensation range of $21.54 - $30.42 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Work in the heart of #humankindness! CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington is seeking a skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide professional pre-hospital and hospital care to a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, often managing multiple patients or situations simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing and documenting comprehensive patient assessments and treatments.
  • Individualizing patient care plans and ensuring interventions are appropriate and policy-compliant.
  • Identifying needs for and supervising patient transfers to different facilities or levels of care.
  • Administering medications accurately, adhering to the five (5) Patient Rights.
  • Identifying significant changes or high-risk situations in patient status.
  • Completing all documentation in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Demonstrating proficiency with ambulance and hospital equipment.
  • Effectively communicating patient status during transfers of care.
  • Adjusting workload and communicating staffing needs as necessary.
  • Provides professional and compassionate patient care to all age groups.

  • Coordinating patient care with ancillary departments.
  • Operating within the guidelines of Standing Orders, Medical Director directives, and ND State Guidelines.


Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • NREMT-PARA
  • EMT-P:ND
  • AUTO:ND
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association

CHI Carrington Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, have a variety of skills from clinical to project management. In our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to the emergency department, acute care (Med/Surg), swing bed, surgery, outpatient treatment, and so much more!
