The posted compensation range of $18.97 - $28.89 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

The Data Integrity Specialist Sr serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for day to day data integrity operational functions within Revenue Management. This position will resolve difficult duplicates to maintain a clean enterprise master patient index (EMPI) and/or complete root cause analysis to identify and resolve overlaid records by utilizing electronic databases and any other designated system.


The Data Integrity Specialist Sr. is proficient in research and resolution of requested chart corrections and guides associates and providers in chart correction procedures.


The Data Integrity Specialist Sr works closely with Data Integrity Leadership to complete special projects and educate/assist all other Data Integrity Associates with patient portal and portal proxy access requests.


This position will collaborate with facility HIM, Patient Access, Physician Clinics, Charge Audit, Corporate Responsibility, and other departments to maintain the integrity of the EMPI and individual medical records.

Remote position available for Colorado residents only. 1 week in office for equipment & software set up (as needed) at the Mineral office location (Centennial). 


Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
  • Associate Degree Preferred Associate or equivalent work experience preferred.Training in medical terminology preferred
  • 3 years of health information management , patient access, or billing experience
  • Experience with the electronic health record (EHR) and health information systems and applications
  • Effective communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Attentive to details
  • Knowledge in health care compliance,HIPAA privacy and confidentiality laws.Demonstrated computer aptitude on healthcare related
    applications
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Experience with Epic preferred

Physical Requirements
Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
