The posted compensation range of $42.85 - $63.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Charge Nurse at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will provide crucial oversight for all nursing activities during your shift, acting as a primary resource to staff and ensuring exceptional direct patient care. This leadership role is central to directing patient flow, optimizing resource utilization within the PACU, and maintaining the highest standards of quality care that satisfy patients. You will mentor other nurses on competency, documentation, equipment use, National Patient Safety Goals, and actively contribute to inservice education.
Every day you will coordinate patient flow within the unit to facilitate timely and effective care, utilizing the Clinical Response Team (CRT) appropriately for critical situations. You'll apply advanced prioritization and critical thinking skills to accurately assess patients' physical, emotional, spiritual, and learning needs. Your responsibilities include developing and evaluating effective care plans, providing direct patient teaching and care as needed, and documenting meticulously while ensuring all standards of care are consistently maintained. You'll also manage ethical dilemmas and coordinate Ethics Consults.
To be successful in this role, you must have knowledge of surgical procedures and a critical care background. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, basic computer proficiency and strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring skills. Your ability to lead, manage change, and assume accountability will be vital in this dynamic Charge Nurse position in a fast-paced Perioperative environment.

- American Heart Association BLS
- American Heart Association ACLS
- American Heart Association PALS, within 6 months

- Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or Charge Nurse experience
