The posted compensation range of $20.91 - $29.54 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Community Oral Health Promoter, you will be a vital force in advancing oral health education and access within our diverse communities, specifically for children, families, and underserved populations. This grant-funded role involves collaborating with providers to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate oral health instruction, bridging gaps in care, and empowering individuals to adopt healthier oral habits.
Every day you will conduct engaging, age-appropriate oral health education sessions in community settings, thoroughly answering questions and addressing concerns with accurate and current health information. You will provide practical demonstrations, distribute health resource materials, and assist with curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
To be successful in this role, you will have a High School Graduate or GED qualification. Experience working with underserved populations, diverse cultures, and young children is essential. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of health and/or dental background and experience working in a grant-funded program. You must possess a current AZ Driver's License and BLS-CPR certification upon hire. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand both English and Spanish is required, along with basic computer skills and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Assist providers with educating patients and parents in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.
- Present age-appropriate education and resources to children, parents and caregivers in a thorough and concise manner that follows program protocol.
- Answer participants' questions and concerns with accurate and current health information.
- Provide evidence-based oral health education and services to Dignity Health Community Integration programs as requested.
- Assist staff as needed to complete scheduled clinics/educational sessions, including transportation of supplies, clinic set up and clean up.
- Attend and transport materials to educational sessions, health fairs and program events at various locations.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate/GED
- Experience working with under-served populations, diverse cultures and young children
- One to two (1-2) years health and/or dental background
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- Arizona Driver's License
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand both English and Spanish
Preferred
- Associates Other in science or in a health related field
- Experience working in a grant funded program
- Certified medical interpreter
