The posted compensation range of $24.33 - $36.19 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant Lead you will take a pivotal role in clinical operations leadership, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe patient environment. You will perform essential patient care services, directly supporting physician and provider practices under their clinical supervision.

Every day you will meticulously schedule appointments and procedures, manage patient discharges, and maintain optimal PAR levels for supplies to prevent waste. You'll expertly retrieve and prepare patient medical information, accurately obtain and document vital signs, and administer medications under physician order.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a higher education degree or completion of a Medical Assistant Program, coupled with at least six months of experience in an outpatient medical setting. Prior experience in a designated specialty and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) are highly preferred.

  • Accurately and timely schedules acceptable appointments / procedures.
    Discharges patients in a timely manner, Orders necessary items, maintains PAR levels, and shares supplies to eliminate unnecessary spending.
  • Accurately completes and documents COA, HIPAA, and other forms.
    Retrieves and prepares patient medical information as needed, accurately obtains, interprets and documents all patient vital signs.
  • Routes appropriate tasks when applicable to the proper individual or group per specific expectations as outlined by department supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • A graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or Completion of a U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program
  • American Heart Association
    • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

Preferred

  • Six (6) month's experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical
  • One year of previous MA experience
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
  • Previous experience in designated specialty
