The posted compensation range of $ 49.78 - $ 82.14 is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Physician Assistant (PA)/ Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will be responsible for providing excellent care under the supervision fo staff physicians
Every day, within this role, you will provide medical services consistent with your education, training, and experience, as delegated by a supervising physician.
To be successful in this role, you will use your medical knowledge to confidently and independently manage patient care while knowing when to consult a physician. You will think critically and make quick decisions in high-pressure environments, by trusting your problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborates with supervising physicians and nursing staff to develop, implement, and modify comprehensive patient care plans, including effective discharge planning. Continuously evaluates and adjusts care plans based on observable patient responses and progress towards expected outcomes.
- Actively manages patients' pain levels in partnership with supervising physicians and nursing staff, including the administration of appropriate medications. Ensures thorough and timely pain documentation and re-evaluation as evidenced by chart review.
- Prioritizes and promotes exceptional patient and family satisfaction by actively empowering them to participate in their care. Anticipates and proactively addresses patient and family concerns regarding health and treatment, ensuring prompt resolution during the encounter. Facilitates patient involvement in treatment decisions when appropriate.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all medical records and required documentation for every patient seen in the urgent care setting.
- Optimizes clinic efficiency, without compromising patient care quality. Drives efficient patient flow while consistently upholding the highest possible standards of care for each individual.
- Strictly adheres to all confidentiality and privacy regulations, including HIPAA, maintaining the privacy of patient information, medical records, employee records, and all hospital and administrative data.
- Consistently demonstrates excellent, courteous, and compassionate communication with all patients, families, and colleagues in every interaction.
Job Requirements
Required
- Completion of approved Physician Assistant program. and PA Experience in the evaluation andtreatment of acute and chronic medical conditions and injuries common to patients of all ages (e.g. chest pain, abdominal pain, infections, laceration repair,orthopedic injuries). Experience inutilizing and interpreting common labtests, EKGs and X-ray studies., upon hire and
- Physician Assistant: AZ, upon hire or
- AZ Nurse Practitioner license
- Drug Enforcement Administration-Control Sub Reg Cert: AZ
- American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Preferred
- 5 + Years of Experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department
- Consideration maybe given to candidates with experience in family medicine.
