The posted compensation range of $43.68 - $43.68 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Quality Patient Safety Professional, you will develop, implement, and monitor programs to enhance patient safety and drive continuous quality improvement.

Every day you will conduct risk assessments, analyze adverse events, identify root causes, and recommend evidence-based strategies. You will also collaborate with clinical teams and regulators, providing education and guidance on best practices.

To be successful, you will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of patient safety principles, quality improvement, and healthcare regulations. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to influence change will be crucial for fostering a culture of safety and achieving exceptional patient outcomes.

  • Collects high-quality data compilation, documentation, and entry of 100 percent of metabolic and bariatric procedures performed at the facility into the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform.
  • Collects evidence based data points based on knowledge of patient condition and clinical workflow. Generates reports and analyses to support related quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and operational effectiveness using key statistical tools, including but not limited to, run charts, bar charts, pie charts, control charts, and cause and effect diagrams. Analyzes data and identifies key findings and develops action plans appropriate to the clinical care of the patient population. Presents complex data with simplicity of design in a clear, easy to understand format.
  • Learns, understands and becomes proficient in relevant facility, Dignity Health and external data sources and systems including, but not limited to, clinical process and outcome data, electronic health record data, event reporting data, and patient complaints, etc. (e.g. Midas+, iVOS, ATLAS, etc.). Assists in designing, developing, maintaining and updating clinical and other databases based on experience of clinical workflows, department and organizational needs. Collaborates on multidisciplinary teams and provides analytical support and clinical knowledge/experience for various projects related to quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and outcomes, as appropriate. Interprets, explains and discusses data analysis results. Actively interacts with clinical staff and acts as a clinical knowledge resource for quality measurement and improvement activities.
  • Works closely with the members of the metabolic and bariatric and general surgery departments to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects that may be identified Analytical Thinking - Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy. Interpersonal Relationships - Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Taking Ownership - Knowledge of the current situation or issue at hand; ability to take full personal responsibility or ownership for assignments, activities, decisions and results. Technical Competence - Demonstrates breadth and/or depth of professional/technical skills and capabilities required for position; shares knowledge; sets or contributes to the Company’s direction within area of expertise.

  • Associates Other or three (3) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree, upon hire and
  • Minimum of one (1) year analytic/statistical analysis experience and
  • Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire
