Responsibilities

The Supervisor of Maintenance Services will provide effective leadership and strategic direction to the employees of the Plant Maintenance department, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring optimal performance of all maintenance operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively supervise, motivate, and coordinate the activities of the maintenance personnel. Routinely fills in for absent employees regardless of shift, if necessary. Responsible for educating employees on all new procedures and equipment.
  • Uses consistent, accurate and effective judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Forecasts work requirements and completes work in a timely, efficient, and creative manner.
  • Uses material and manpower to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Ensures department work meets or exceeds the hospital, Joint Commission and other applicable standards.
  • Consistently demonstrates written, verbal, and non-verbal communications, which are clear, concise, and organized.
  • Demonstrates the ability to motivate department members to willingly perform their duties and responsibilities.
  • Completes employee assessments prior to due date for all direct report employees. Addresses disciplinary issues with staff in a timely manner. Refers disciplinary issues requiring follow-up to Human Resources.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
  • AZ Driver's License

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Supervisory experience
