The posted compensation range of $121.93 - $219.48 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our System SVP of nursing and clinical informatics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and strategic insights to enhance clinical outcomes and streamline operational workflows. This role is instrumental in ensuring both the CommonSpirit Health (CSH) strategic Informatics roadmap and the national nursing strategic plan is supported and operationalized. This key strategic role leads the system strategies for nursing and allied health informatics as a dyad partner with the System CMIO, Medical Informatics across the healthcare system. This role is pivotal in integrating advanced nursing informatics with organizational transformation to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes. The role will work collaboratively with executive leadership, clinical staff, and IT departments to drive innovation, implement new technologies, and ensure the seamless integration of nursing practices and information systems.
Every day you will guide informatics system leaders who work directly with divisional resources in the adoption and best use of Clinical Information technology (CIT) solutions that maximize safe, efficient and quality delivery of care. As the liaison between the system and divisional executives, information technology (IT) and patient care services, they strategically identify, apply and oversee all informatics resources. This role reports to the Senior Executive Vice President Chief Nursing Officer of CommonSpirit Health and has a dotted line to the Chief Information Officer of CommonSpirit Health.
To be successful in this role, you must lead as an innovative leader with the vision, knowledge and skills to leverage informatics across CommonSpirit Health to improve patient care outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
This is a remote job. As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.
Responsibilities:
- Combine expert clinical knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of health IT in clinical settings.
- Establish and lead system and divisional executives in creating informatics communications strategy and cross-organizational vision for nursing/clinical informatics in concert with the overall nursing communication strategy.
- Create and monitor clinical and behavioral metrics for ongoing improvement, including surveillance activities related to organizational risk with any EHR or Clinical IT product.
- Serve as Clinical Leader with Medical Informatics and Information Technology, in all efforts related to selection, installation and consolidation of EHR platforms and other products that directly impact clinical users.
- Establish and lead Informatics governance, including change management process for all end user modifications to the EHRs.
- Lead efforts with regulatory changes and serves as expert for those that are enabled within the CIT i.e.: EHRs.
