The posted compensation range of $54.50 - $81.07 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
In this role, you will support long- and short-range planning efforts that align with market, regional, and system goals. You’ll work closely with pharmacy leadership and peers to standardize clinical pharmacy practices, while mentoring and developing staff to maximize their scope of practice across the continuum of care. This position also partners with medical staff to promote cost-effective, evidence-based pharmaceutical care and ensures all clinical pharmacy initiatives meet regulatory standards. As applicable, this role may also serve as the Residency Program Director.
Key responsibilities include:
Participating in relevant committees based on experience and practice area
Precepting pharmacy interns and residents
Functioning as a clinical pharmacist in centralized and decentralized settings
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for interpreting, verifying, and dispensing medications accurately while documenting all clinical activities, consults, and patient education as required. The role requires effective collaboration with providers to resolve drug-related problems, clarify medication orders, and support appropriate therapeutic decisions.
Additional functions include:
Verifying medications prepared by pharmacy personnel
Maintaining competency to provide services across all patient age groups
Using automated systems effectively
Providing direction and guidance to pharmacy technicians
Supporting training and orientation for students, technicians, residents, and pharmacists
Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and completing mandatory education
Counseling patients and providing drug information
Completing other duties within licensure as assigned
