The posted compensation range of $30.91 - $45.98 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Are you a compassionate and proactive Registered Nurse looking for a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on employee health and well-being? CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health RN Sponsor to join our team.

As an Occupational Health RN Sponsor, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a healthy work environment, preventing injuries and illnesses, and facilitating early and safe return to work for our valued employees. You'll be a trusted resource, an advocate, and a leader in occupational health.
As an Occupational Health RN Sponsor, you will be responsible for a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Employee Health Promotion & Education: Develop and deliver health and wellness programs, educational materials, and initiatives to empower employees to take an active role in their well-being.
- Injury & Illness Prevention: Conduct workplace assessments, identify potential hazards, and collaborate with department managers to implement preventative measures and promote safe work practices.
- Case Management & Return-to-Work: Manage work-related injury and illness cases from inception to resolution, coordinating care with providers, facilitating modified duty programs, and ensuring smooth and safe return-to-work transitions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records.
- Medical Surveillance Programs: Administer and oversee employee health screenings, immunizations, drug screens, respirable fit testing, and other medical surveillance programs as required by regulations and organizational policy.
- Assessment & Triage: Provide initial assessment, first aid, and triage for workplace injuries and illnesses, determining appropriate level of care.
- Collaboration & Communication: Serve as a liaison between employees, supervisors, healthcare providers, and workers' compensation adjusters. Effectively communicate health status, work restrictions, and return-to-work plans.
- Program Development: Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of occupational health policies, procedures, and programs.
- Safety Committee Involvement: Actively participate in the facility's safety committee and other related initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Dakota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association required upon hire.

CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the North Dakota State Department of Health, and certified by the Department of Health and Human Services for participation in the Medicare Program. Our hospital has been committed to providing patients quality medical treatment in the Lake Region area and surrounding communities since 1902.
