The posted compensation range of $54.76 - $81.45 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Director of Nursing (DON) at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will help shape the future of nursing care within our organization so you can empower dedicated nursing professionals and champion patient well-being in our community.

Every day you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all nursing services to ensure clinical excellence and innovative care delivery. You will be expected to lead and mentor the nursing team, develop and implement best practices, manage departmental budgets and resources, and foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you must be an inspiring and collaborative nursing leader with a proven track record in clinical excellence, strategic management, and team development.

  • Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all nursing operations and services.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and conduct performance evaluations for nursing staff.
  • Oversee departmental budgeting, resource allocation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Drive initiatives for patient well-being, quality improvement, and clinical innovation within nursing.

We are offering a $20,000 Sign-On Bonusto new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.


Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the discipline
    • Master's Degree in Nursing, Masters must be obtained within 2 years of start
  • OR Master's in Nursing
    • 5 years of leadership experience.
    • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Candidates must have an RN license that allows them to practice in the state of North Dakota (compact license or license issued by the ND Board of Nursing).
  • American Heart Association BLS-CPR.

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities.
