The posted compensation range of $41.14 - $61.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As a Clinical Engineering Project Engineer, you will manage the planning and implementation of key projects for Clinical Engineering by developing plans, identifying process improvement opportunities, and providing project management to successfully implement those initiatives.
Every day, you will concurrently manage multiple small to moderate projects or a single large project of moderate to high complexity by partnering with Clinical Engineering leaders and multi-disciplinary teams at a system, regional, and local level to deliver initiatives, improve workflows, and drive process improvement. You will utilize technical skills to drive innovative strategies that positively impact the desired clinical effectiveness of medical devices and improve operational performance.
To be successful in your role, you will strategically lead the planning and implementation of key Clinical Engineering projects, meticulously identifying process improvement opportunities and providing expert project management. You will demonstrate exceptional technical skills in driving innovative strategies that enhance the clinical effectiveness of medical devices and optimize operational performance, concurrently managing multiple projects of varying complexity and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams across all organizational levels.
- Responsible for project management of key Clinical Engineering projects, including planning, implementation, testing, deployment and customer adoption of initiatives.
- Collaborate with Clinical Engineering leadership, CommonSpirit leadership, hospital staff and clinicians at a system, regional and local level to ensure successful outcomes that align with business goals, objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for supervision of project resources and vendors required to deliver project tasks.
- Develop project plans which identify key issues, challenges, approaches, performance metrics, communication plans and resources required to ensure successful completion of deliverables.
- Create project cost estimates & strategy recommendations. Monitor project expenditures to ensure projects are delivered within approved budget.
- Utilize technical skills to engineer innovative strategies that improve operational performance, optimize workflows, and drive process improvement that impact the desired clinical effectiveness of medical devices.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors Other preferably in project management, business administration, healthcare administration or engineering (or equivalent experience), upon hire
- Minimum 5 years project management and/or process improvement experience
- Minimum 5 years engineering experience
Preferred
- Healthcare Technology Management (Clinical Engineering) experience
- Project Management Professional, upon hire
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, upon hire
- Six Sigma Black Belt, upon hire
- Certified Hthcare Tech Mgr, upon hire
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician, upon hire
