The posted compensation range of $76.53 - $113.84 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

This is a remote position

The Director of Enterprise Resilience, Crisis, and Risk inspires collaboration across Resilience, Risk, Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Cybersecurity, and Disaster Recovery, and leads a supporting enablement team to reduce fragmentation and advance unified resilience services across regions and the system.  In addition the Director will partner with key stakeholders to design, implement, and govern an enterprise resilience, and data security governance program which includes all stages of the data lifecycle (creation, storage, usage, archiving and destruction) and includes governance of data loss prevention and unstructured data programs.

In this role, the director will apply advanced management capabilities, exercise strategic thinking with a focus on long-term organization-wide application and impact, develop and implement programs critical to CommonSpirit, manage key stakeholders at all levels and enable team development and engagement.

Resilience Policy Exceptions Process: Support the national Policy Exception Process for regional requests, ensuring risks are evaluated, documented, and managed in alignment with enterprise resilience standards.

System Patching Oversight: Serve as a point of escalation for regional patching compliance and support remediation of gaps to reduce exposure and maintain system integrity and operational continuity.

Third-Party Assessment Support: Support resilience risk assessments for vendors and third-party partners, strengthening resilience across the extended enterprise and supply chain. 

Resilience Guidance: Provide general and project-specific guidance to regions on resilience policies and standards to enable secure, resilient operations.

Regulatory Compliance Support: Support regional compliance with HIPAA, CMS, PCI DSS, Promoting Interoperability, and other applicable regulations, reinforcing resilience through adherence to required safeguards. Serve as a key resource for medical staff, employees, and leadership for regulatory guidance and audit readiness.

  • Audit Support – Participate in resilience and security audits, assisting with development of corrective action plans and overseeing implementation to strengthen resilience and accountability.
  • Remediation Tracking and Validation – Support National efforts to address past-due or non-responsive regional remediation (corrective action plans), ensuring timely risk reduction and sustained resilience. 
  • Resilience Awareness Training – Oversee implementation of resilience awareness training within regions and system-wide and coordinate distribution of materials to strengthen organizational readiness and risk awareness.


Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors in a related technical or business area
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with Healthcare Continuity, Enterprise Resilience, IT and Business Reslilience, Enterprise Crisis Management, Operational and Cyber Resilience.
