The posted compensation range of $140.22 - $196.31 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our System VP, NRES Facility Management, you will transform, lead, and oversee the facility management operations of the entire real estate portfolio, encompassing critical functions like maintenance, systems operations, compliance, and utility management across our Integrated Delivery Network (IDN).
Every day, you will collaborate extensively with NRES, other national programs, and regional/local operating teams to develop and operate an industry-leading facility management and compliance program focused on efficiency, cost, staff satisfaction, and sustainability. You will align resources to build high-performing teams, developing innovative staffing, training, and retention programs to address workforce needs and increase our industry profile. You will lead workforce transformation by introducing processes, tools, and technology to enhance efficiencies, reduce operational risks, and optimize resource deployment.
To be successful in your role, you will lead the development and deployment of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the Facility Management program, including master and site-level agreements to govern finances, services, and performance. You will be responsible for developing and aggregating annual operating budgets, administering performance evaluations, and meeting KPIs for financial measures, risk reductions, staff metrics, compliance, and sustainability. You will partner with NRES, partner organizations, and corporate departments to develop the real estate and facility management data cube, guiding the development of the Single Source of Truth platform, NRES dashboards, and data transparency for critical operational and optimization decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Build a high performing team that combines existing team members, new hires, region/market resources, and 3rd party partners to effectively deliver an industry leading and world class facility management, engineering and compliance program across the entire CommonSpirit Health real estate portfolio.
- Implement and lead the Facility Management programs to decrease organizational risk, improve patient safety and compliance, decrease cost of service, reduce unplanned system / equipment downtime, and improve quality outcomes across CSH.
- Integrate facility management into the overall CSH and NRES compliance program, ensure Physical Environment (Environment of Care & Life Safety) preparation and results across the full portfolio and all agencies.
- Develop and maintain a technology program integrated within the NRES technology solution. Develop facility management focused dashboards within the NRES technology tool kit, enabling real time access to critical operating and performance data.
- Partner with the NRES Operations & Governance team for the implementation of the Infrastructure and Sustainability program; maintaining the ratings database, facilitating the facility conditions assessment program, implementing assigned projects (contracting, engineering, construction, and project administration).
- Increase the visibility of conservation opportunities capturing both the financial and environmental impacts realized post implementation. Track the programs and lead the communication program with relevant operations stakeholders across the system.

Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors Other in engineering, construction management, business, or related background is, upon hire.
- Masters Other of Business Administration or Engineering with an emphasis in real estate or facilities will be considered valuable, upon hire.
- 20+ years experience with increasingly significant leadership and management responsibilities in facilities management, project management, or real estate administration with a primary healthcare focus.
- In depth knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, conveying and envelop systems that support hospitals, ambulatory, post-acute and non-acute buildings.
- Demonstrated success in recognizing and implementing energy and utility conservation measures, specific to the healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated success in the implementation of large scale engineering programs with multisite and multistate delivery requirements.
- Experience with negotiating and implementing energy driven performance contracts, Power Purchase Agreements.
- Experience developing, implementing and coordinating resiliency programs.
- Experience leading the implementation of complex healthcare programs with significant scale and with appropriate degrees of complexity.
- Demonstrated success in building and implementing multi-faceted engineering strategies for multi-site healthcare systems.
- Facility management experience and an understanding of the regulatory and jurisdictional realities across multiple markets.
- Understanding of the CA seismic program administered by HCAI and how this will influence the delivery of facility engineering programs, repairs and infrastructure projects.
