The posted compensation range of $106.03 - $148.44 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
The System Vice President, Women and Infants Service Line – Physician Leader serves as the senior clinical authority for women and infants across CommonSpirit Health. This physician leader provides strategic clinical leadership and direction for the Service Line, ensuring alignment with system-wide goals for quality, safety, and performance.
In partnership with the system VP, Service Line Administrator, this dyad leadership role guides the development and execution of integrated, multidisciplinary care strategies. Together, they champion the adoption of evidence-based clinical standards, drive performance improvement initiatives, and work to reduce patient harm, optimize resource utilization, and eliminate unwarranted variation in care. Their efforts are focused on enhancing clinical outcomes, improving care coordination, and elevating the patient and caregiver experience.
As a key member of the CommonSpirit Health clinical leadership team, the System VP, Physician Leader collaborates with executive leaders across the organization to shape and implement system and local strategies. This role plays a critical part in advancing the transformation to a unified clinical enterprise, fostering physician alignment, and achieving goals related to patient experience, employee engagement, and financial performance.
The Physician Leader will also maintain an active clinical practice within a CommonSpirit Health community, ensuring a strong connection to frontline care delivery and the evolving needs of patients and providers.
Job Requirements
Education, Licensure and Experience
- Medical degree, required.
- Board certification in a related service line field (required to maintain certification for continued employment).
- Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field, strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in discipline with minimum 7 years of progressively responsible physician leadership experience in clinical perinatal care and/or in an integrated health system.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-specialty groups of physicians, work effectively in a matrix organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dyadic leadership model.
- Must be goal-oriented and able to drive multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams to consensus in a matrix organization.
- Must show a demonstrated ability to work across multiple geographies and develop relationships while working in a digital environment.
