Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and manage the content authoring processes within Adobe Experience Manager(AEM) as well as actively authoring content within AEM. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of web content,landing pages and personalized customer experiences across multiple digital touchpoints. The System Manager, Marketing AEMAuthor partners closely with content writers, SEO specialists, designers and developers to ensure high-quality, optimized content isdelivered efficiently within AEM. The position combines technical, strategic and leadership responsibilities to manage authoringworkflows and ensure content is aligned with business goals and user experience best practices.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • AEM Content Management and Authoring: Oversee and directly contribute to the authoring and optimization of content within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Work with content writers and other stakeholders to ensure all web pages, assets and components are properly created and maintained in line with branding and business objectives. 
  • Collaboration with Content Teams: Partner with content writers, copywriters and designers to ensure content is created, formatted and implemented correctly within AEM. Ensure all content meets business requirements, brand guidelines and user experience standards. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with SEO specialists, UX/UI designers, developers and marketing teams to ensure content is optimized for search engines, user engagement and accessibility. Coordinate with teams to ensure a cohesive digital experience across all platforms. 
  • Workflow & Process Management: Lead and optimize authoring workflows, ensuring timely delivery of content and adherence to quality standards. Manage the authoring approval process to ensure content is reviewed and published efficiently. 5. Personalization & Targeting: Work with marketing and technical teams to leverage AEM’s personalization features, ensuring tailored content experiences for different customer segments and enhancing engagement across various digital touchpoints. 6. Content Performance & Optimization: Partner with content creators and analytics roles to monitor content performance metrics and work with cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions. Ensure continuous improvement in content delivery, user engagement and conversion rates by analyzing data and implementing best practices. 
  • Quality Assurance: Manage the quality assurance process to ensure that authoring is accurate, consistent and compliant with brand standards, legal requirements and accessibility guidelines.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to region and market authors and cross-functional teams on best practices for authoring, AEM usage and content management workflows.
  • Platform Management & Enhancement: Work with technical teams to maintain and enhance AEM’s functionality. Help implement new features, tools and capabilities to improve content management and delivery within the platform.
  • Stakeholder Liaison and Web Request Management: Once requests have been submitted following standard processes, act as the primary point of contact for internal national stakeholders regarding web content requests. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives and challenges, and determine the best solutions to meet those requirements using AEM. Partner with needed teams to develop clear action plans, establish timelines and ensure alignment with marketing and technical teams.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or a related field. A combination of education and/or additional job-related experience in digital marketing and content management systems may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in content management, digital marketing, or web development, with at least three (3) years of experience specifically using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). 
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing content workflows, digital content projects, and cross-functional teams.

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • Adobe Certified Expert – AEM Sites (or equivalent certification) preferred.

Required Minimum Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Training

  • In-depth experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and content  management systems. 
  • Strong understanding of web content strategies, content creation, and user experience (UX) best practices. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with content creators, SEO specialists, designers, developers, and marketing teams. 
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform content strategy
  • Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems and content version control best practices. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards for content creation and delivery.
