About the Role:
As an LPN/RN at CHI Friendship, you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall medical well-being of the individuals we support. You will work in parallel with the Director of Health Services, providing comprehensive medical support and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position requires a proactive and collaborative approach, working closely with site managers and interdisciplinary teams to provide the best possible health outcomes for the people we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, assess, and report changes in medical conditions for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Train staff to provide high-quality care through ongoing education, trainings, and competency evaluations.
- Coordinate services and supports, prioritizing health and safety.
- Participate in team meetings, planning, and implementation of person-centered health care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing standards of care.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to meet individual patient care needs.
- Oversee doctor's orders and ensure proper implementation.
- Complete thorough assessments of individuals' health needs.
- Advocate for the best possible health outcomes for the people we support.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- College degree from an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN).
- Active and unencumbered license to practice nursing in the state of North Dakota.
- Current valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Two years’ experience working in a DD setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in both team and self-directed environments with excellent time management skills.
- Dependable and compassionate nature.
