The posted compensation range of $64.87 - $85.16 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Mercy Medical Group is seeking two (2) skilled and compassionate experiencedPediatric Nurse Practitioners (NP) to join our healthcare team in our Iron Point, Folsom, CA location, and a Float NP. As a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider, you will work closely with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to pediatric patients. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing education and support to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and a passion for improving the health and well-being of children.  Well baby rounding is required at our newborn nursery.

Compensation Range: $134,930 - $177,132 / Year (based on years in specialty)

  • Must be comfortable with Well Baby Newborn Rounding in Hospitals.
  • Perform thorough assessments of pediatric patients, including physical examinations, medical
    histories, and diagnostic tests.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and collaborate with healthcare team members to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies according to established guidelines and in consultation with supervising physicians.
  • Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide follow-up care.
  • Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures, disease management, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, nurses, and
    specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
  • Stay informed about current research, advancements, and best practices in pediatric care through continuous professional development and participation in relevant conferences and training programs.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards in healthcare practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and informed consent.

Job Requirements
  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
  • BLS/PALS and NRP certificates.
  • Active CA state licensure and ability to practice as an advanced practice provider in pediatrics.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in pediatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software.
