Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Market Chief Medical Officer (MCMO) is a senior physician executive responsible for driving clinical excellence, quality, patient safety, and physician engagement across the Denver Market. This leader partners closely with hospital executives, physician leaders, and operational teams to advance high-quality, patient-centered care while improving clinical performance, regulatory readiness, and organizational outcomes. The MCMO reports directly to the Hospital President/CEO for local responsibilities and maintains a dotted-line relationship to the Regional Chief Medical Officer (RCMO) and Market President for market-wide priorities. In partnership with the Market Chief Nurse Executive (MCNE), this leader serves as a key advisor on clinical strategy, fosters alignment across hospitals, and drives initiatives that strengthen care delivery, physician collaboration, and organizational performance throughout the Denver Market.
