Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nephrologist, you will provide the highest quality, specialized care for patients with kidney disorders within our comprehensive Kansas healthcare network. This crucial role involves delivering expert nephrology services in an ambulatory clinic setting while contributing significantly to clinical advancements, quality improvement initiatives, and our mission of providing community benefits, ensuring access to life-sustaining renal care.

Every day you will conduct thorough patient consultations, manage complex renal diseases, and accurately prepare and maintain detailed medical records in accordance with established policies. You will adhere to all managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal/state reimbursement requirements, aligning with our ethical and religious directives. Additionally, you will actively participate in and lead clinical and quality improvement initiatives, engage with medical staff committees, and contribute to hospital operational oversight. When assigned, you will provide essential on-call coverage to support our patients with urgent nephrological needs.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Nephrologist with an active medical license in Kansas (or eligibility to obtain one), demonstrating a profound commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining relevant board certifications. We are seeking a physician with exceptional diagnostic skills in nephrology, a patient-centered approach to care, and the ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Your dedication to upholding our values, participating in peer review, and actively providing community benefit services, including charity care, will be essential for excelling in this critical specialist position.


Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;
  • Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
  • Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
  • Doctorate MD or DO required
  • DR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state required
