The posted compensation range of $35.00 - $58.63 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery throughout their endoscopy journey.
Every day, you will leverage your specialized expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care in the endoscopy suite and related areas, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures unique to endoscopy, and meticulously implementing patient care plans for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, including gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and technicians, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Procedural Care: Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care, including thorough patient education on preparation, procedure, and post-procedure expectations. Assesses patient's medical history, allergies, medications, and ensures appropriate consent is obtained.
- Post-Procedural Care: Provides diligent post-anesthesia and post-procedure monitoring, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Educates patients and families on discharge instructions, potential complications, and when to seek medical attention.
- Patient Advocacy: Serves as an advocate for patients' needs by demonstrating holistic care practices, particularly for anxious or vulnerable patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Clinical Acuity & Adaptation: Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner, especially concerning sedation levels, pain, and potential procedural complications.
Job Requirements
Required
- Associate Of Nursing ADN and Knowledge of infusion therapy, critical care (surgical) background, pediatric experience helpful., upon hire
- Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support- American Heart Association required
Preferred
- One (1) year experience in an ambulatory treatment unit, PACU phase I, and/orcritical care unit. and
- Previous experience with Chemotherapy/Biotherapy administration. and
- Previous training and experience with PICC insertions
