The posted compensation range of $16.83 - $23.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Scheduler, you will orchestrate a seamless and efficient care process for patients and providers by coordinating appointments and managing schedules.
Every day you will schedule patient appointments and coordinate multiple provider schedules for medical procedures, tests, and studies. You'll ensure timely scheduling through effective communication, accurately gather and verify patient insurance and documentation, process reports, and provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone and in-clinic assistance.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent communication and reasoning skills to manage scheduling complexities and patient inquiries, always striving for accuracy and efficiency.
- Schedule all inpatient and outpatient hospital procedures for CHI patients, which includes coordinating times and locations for pre-testing, procedures and physician availability.
- Create and send daily case logs and master lists to appropriate staff.
- Conduct patient education and instruction for the scheduled procedure.
- Receive calls from the answering services and distribute messages to the appropriate physicians.
- Call in physician order, document and send to the appropriate departments including medical orders and standing orders.
- Pull records, copy, make hospital reservations and send information per the physician request.

The Chattanooga Heart Institute offers the most comprehensive cardiac care available in this region. Founded in 1976, we now have six offices in Tennessee and one in Georgia. Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists and three cardiothoracic surgeons. We merged with CHI Memorial Health Care System in 2011 which is part of CommonSpirit Health.
