Responsibilities

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, AR is seeking a passionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our thriving Gastroenterology Clinic. This is an excellent opportunity to work independently within a supportive and collaborative environment, providing high-quality care to patients in the Hot Springs community.

About the Clinic:

Our GI Clinic is a well-established practice consisting of one experienced Physician and one Advanced Practice Provider (APP). We pride ourselves on our hard-working and motivated support staff who are committed to providing exceptional patient care. 

About the Role:

As a Nurse Practitioner in our GI Clinic, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive gastroenterological care to patients, including:

  • Taking patient histories and performing examinations.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, imaging).
  • Diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans.
  • Prescribing medications as needed.
  • Providing patient education and counseling.
  • Collaborating with the physician and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Seeing patients independently.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday - Thursday
    • Approximately 22-23 patients seen per day, independently
  • Half-day on Friday
    • Approximately 11-12 patients seen on Friday

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current and valid Arkansas APRN license (or eligible to obtain).
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • DEA license (or eligible to obtain).
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of gastroenterology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in gastroenterology is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
