The posted compensation range of $79.24 - $110.93 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Serves at the executive level providing leadership in the delivery of nursing care, treatment, and services. Has direct line authority forAcute Care Units, Nursing Administration, and Dialysis. Has the primary responsibility for establishing and ensuring clinical patient care standards are achieved in a cost‐effective manner. Establish nursing services consistent with the overall hospital values and goals and to provide a practice environment to assure CHI St. Luke's as an employer of choice. Has the authority and responsibility for meeting the bottom lines of quality and financial performance for the areas of accountability. The position also has matrix responsibility for all nursing positions throughout the hospital to ensure that appropriate standards of care are met.
Collaborates with hospital and system leaders to shape strategy, budgets, and operational plans.
Leads the development and execution of a nursing vision and care delivery model aligned with the hospital’s mission.
Oversees patient care standards and ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and safety requirements.
Advances quality improvement initiatives through data-driven evaluation of clinical outcomes and nursing-sensitive indicators.
Promotes a culture of shared governance, staff engagement, and interprofessional collaboration.
Guides leadership development and succession planning through mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
Ensures appropriate resource allocation, staffing models, and fiscal oversight across nursing services.
Builds effective partnerships with medical staff and other departments to enhance patient-centered care.
Supports the integration of clinical technologies and systems to improve efficiency and care quality.
Leads efforts to foster a safe, inclusive, and healing environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Provide oversight on infection prevention and control, practices and processes, including prevention and controlling the transmission of infectious agents, environment of care, cleaning, disinfection, asepsis, management, communication and education.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree
- Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in progressive management roles, or the equivalent, with a sound knowledge of clinical nursing, management, and quality enhancement.
- Excellent clinical and business skills, management skills suitable for a complex tertiary level patient care setting.
- Breadth of knowledge of all areas of patient care
