The posted compensation range of $42.99 - $63.95 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Manager, Cardiopulmonary, you will contribute to the mission of CommonSpirit Health by assisting in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of programs and policies related to patient care in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Services.
Every day you will assist with organizing patient care activities across Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics, Invasive Cardiology, Respiratory Care, and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. You will ensure patient/physician/staff needs are met, drive quality and cost-effective care improvements, and actively participate in deploying System Cardiovascular initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong leadership and organizational skills, a deep understanding of cardiovascular and pulmonary services, a commitment to quality improvement, and the ability to serve as a professional role model upholding ethical principles and promoting a just culture.
- Interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train, succession planning, performance evaluations.
- Responsible for day-to-day work activities; ensuring management of staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and department needs through collaboration. As well as demonstrates accountability for achieving operational, financial, and strategic measures.
- Maintains a collegial and cooperative relationship with the other ancillary, support, service line leaders, CHI Health Physician Enterprise, academic partners, vendors and Independent Medical Staff - working as a team to implement efficiencies, economies and best practices.
- Setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback and recognition, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action.
- Promotes a culture of customer service focused on patients, families, visitors, physicians, other departments and the community. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
- Demonstrates responsibility for maintaining and updating knowledge/skills in the fields of cardiopulmonary care, nursing, health care management and areas of responsibility.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelors in Healthcare related discipline and Three (3) years previous Managerial experience in cardiology or pulmonology
- Basic Life Support - CPR from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
