The posted compensation range of $34.56 - $50.14 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiation Therapist Lead you will oversee and optimize the delivery of precision radiation therapy within our leading Radiation Oncology department. This pivotal role ensures clinical excellence, fosters patient-centered care, and supports our mission in combating cancer through advanced oncology treatment. You will be key in maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality assurance across all treatment modalities.

Every day you will manage daily therapist operations, directly supervising staff activities to ensure meticulous and compassionate care for all radiation therapy patients. You will be responsible for staff scheduling, maintaining quality care standards, and leveraging your decision-making authority to ensure seamless department flow. Additionally, you'll provide critical input for performance evaluations, guiding our team's continuous growth and professional development in medical dosimetry and treatment delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background as a certified Radiation Therapist with demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced oncology setting. Your expertise in treatment planning, patient comfort, and adherence to stringent clinical protocols will be essential. You will excel at guiding and mentoring staff, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality cancer treatment while contributing to the overall strategic goals of our radiation oncology department.

  • Supervises therapist activities.
  • Delivers prescribed planned course of radiation therapy to patient, including but not limited to, side effects, number of fractions, doses, and planned follow-up care.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a holistic, individualized plan of care.
  • Maintains environment of care including Quality Assurance tests on a treatment machine and simulator, room preparation, and supplies.
  • Communicates and works with cancer patients and their families, dealing with all aspects of difficult care, including but not limited to, nutrition, pastoral care, psychosocial, end of life, and family dynamics, and refers appropriately.
  • Professional role model for all staff, demonstrating ethical/legal/professional therapy process.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Graduation from an Accredited school of Radiation Therapy
  • ARRT registered or registry eligible

  • Three (3) years experience

Preferred

  • Previous leadership experience
