CHI St. Vincent is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiology team at the CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic Arkansas - Cardiology and Medicine Clinic in Little Rock. About the Role:
As a PRN Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, you will provide essential support to our cardiology team, focusing on pre- and post-procedure patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring patient care post catheterization and angioplasty: Assessing patient status, managing complications, and ensuring a smooth recovery.
- Discharge planning: Coordinating discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up appointments.
- Preparing patients for procedures: Educating patients about the procedure, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Monitoring care plans: Ensuring adherence to established protocols and collaborating with the cardiology team to adjust plans as needed.
- Patient education: Providing comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding their heart condition, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Assisting with other cardiology-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current and valid Arkansas APRN license (or eligible to obtain).
- DEA license (or eligible to obtain).
- Experience in cardiology preferred, but not required.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiovascular disease.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible PRN schedule.
