The posted compensation range of $100,817 - $149,988 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic Arkansas - Kanis is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our established team in Little Rock! If you are committed to advancing heart health and providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient cardiology setting, we encourage you to apply.

As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic Arkansas - Kanis, you will be an essential member of our specialized cardiology team. You will utilize your advanced clinical expertise to deliver comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, contributing significantly to their diagnosis, treatment, and long-term well-being.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting comprehensive cardiovascular patient assessments, including detailed medical history, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic test results.
  • Formulating accurate diagnoses for various cardiovascular conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines and patient needs.
  • Prescribing medications and other therapeutic interventions in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocols.
  • Providing extensive patient and family education on cardiovascular disease prevention, management strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborating closely with cardiologists, medical assistants, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
  • Managing both acute exacerbations and chronic aspects of cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient clinic environment.
  • Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, ensuring timely follow-up on results.
  • Referring patients to specialists, advanced cardiac procedures, or other supportive services (e.g., cardiac rehabilitation) when clinically indicated.
  • Maintaining accurate, thorough, and timely electronic medical records.
  • Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and clinic efficiency.
  • Adhering to all CHI St. Vincent and Heart Clinic Arkansas policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Job Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arkansas.
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP, or Family NP with significant cardiology experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with prior experience in cardiology or a related critical care/acute care setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills specifically related to cardiovascular assessment and management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
