- As a Vascular Access Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized vascular access care, with a focus on Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC lines)
- Vascular Access Procedures:
- Perform the insertion, maintenance, and removal of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC lines) with precision and adherence to best practices
- Utilize ultrasound guidance for optimal catheter placement
- Monitor and assess the condition of vascular access sites, ensuring the highest standards of care
- Infusion Therapy:
- Administer and manage intravenous (IV) therapies, medications, and fluids as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy, assessing for any adverse reactions and taking appropriate actions
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about the purpose, care, and maintenance of PICC lines and other vascular access devices
- Provide comprehensive instructions on infection prevention and self-care to ensure patient safety
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder program as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will possess expertise in vascular access procedures, infusion therapy, and patient education
- Current RN licensure in Arkansas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on vascular access and infusion therapy
- Proficient in ultrasound-guided PICC line insertion
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
