The posted compensation range of $35.12 - $50.92 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As our Supervisor, Surgical Services at St. Vincent, you will help our Perioperative team optimize nursing resource utilization and foster a culture of excellence so they can provide safe, high-quality patient care and achieve positive outcomes.
Every day you will provide front-line leadership within the Operating Room, skillfully managing scheduling, staffing assignments, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS). You will be expected to lead departmental work teams, administer corrective actions as needed, and facilitate continuous education/training for team members in quality improvement, equipment use, and interpersonal relationships.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong leadership, detailed knowledge of Operating Room operations, and a commitment to continuous improvement and staff development.
- Oversee daily operations within the Operating Room, including scheduling, staffing plans, and ensuring efficient workflow in alignment with service needs and productivity measures.
- Manage human resources aspects such as staff competencies, performance evaluations, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes problem-solving and collaboration.
- Act as a financial steward for the OR, optimize material and supply management, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and maintain a positive, results-oriented atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferredĀ
- Three (3) Years Of Experience In Clinical Nursing in an Operating Room, with at least two (2) years in a clinical OR service; Previous OR Charge or Supervisory experience required.
- Has experience with performance management, staff orientation, investigating problems, and providing solutions within a nursing process framework required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) required upon hire
