The posted compensation range of $38.43 - $68.92 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Facility-Based Clinical Educator, you will assume accountability for providing professional development to positively influence the quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care, demonstrating expertise in clinical nursing and a passion for ongoing support and development for clinical associates.
Every day you will develop, implement, and evaluate facility-level education programs, including coordinating orientation, ongoing staff competency, and continuing education. You will apply policies, procedures, and regulations, and collaborate with leadership, educators, and providers to enhance patient care, acting as an educator, facilitator, consultant, researcher, and change agent.
To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with demonstrable expertise in clinical education, strong program development and evaluation skills, a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to effectively collaborate and influence to drive continuous improvement in patient care quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Assesses learning needs, designs, organizes, implements, and evaluates education programs (Orientation, continuing education, and in-services) that facilitate professional growth, knowledge and skill development, competency, applicable standards, and attainment of standards of care for direct care providers.
- Plans and facilitates education initiatives/classes/events that benefit the staff in collaboration with leaders or content experts.
- Identifies educational needs and opportunities using data from the organization such as regulatory requirements survey information as well as employee and customer evaluation data.
- Collaborates with staff and management in differentiating between educational versus performance/compliance issues to design an effective plan of action.
- Incorporates evidence-based practice and adult learning theory in project and course content.
- Collaborates with managers and key clinical stakeholders to identify educational needs of staff regarding nursing care and/or equipment as it relates to quality patient care.
- Evaluates the quality of programs and services offered, including class evaluations and incorporation of feedback into program improvement.
- Responsible to track course statistics and maintain documentation of educational activities including, but not limited to, evaluation data, attendance numbers and types, completion, or success scores, etc.
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing program (*if holds a Master's Degree in nursing; BSN not required)
- Five (5) years of experience in nursing
- RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Nursing, education, or other related graduate field
- Two (2) years of staff development, academic teaching and /or project development coordination
