The posted compensation range of $52.04 - $77.42 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As the Clinical Manager Social Services you will supervise an interdisciplinary child and family services team, assesses the mental health and social service needs of children, youth, and families, provide short-term clinical interventions, support staff training and professional development, and serve as a member of the management team.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience: 
  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of five years clinical work experience required.
  • A minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
Required Licensure: 
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license and valid auto insurance, and the ability to make home visits to various Los Angeles County locations.
  • Fire Safety Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Required Special Skills: 

  • Bilingual; English and Spanish.
  • Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience in providing clinical services to low-income families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated group leadership skills and experience in developing small-group workshops.
  • Direct experience in working with families around issues related to marital discord, parenting, alcohol and/or other drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and poverty.
  • Knowledge of the field of child abuse and neglect and familiarity with child abuse reporting laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute assigned projects in an independent and responsive manner.
  • Experience in staff supervision, coaching and mentoring.
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with lay-persons and professionals from a variety of disciplines and at various organizational levels.
  • Skill in organizing and maintaining a comprehensive record-keeping system.
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner to professionals.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Licensed Social Worker in the State of California preferred.

Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California. Serving over 100,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, heart care, women’s health, and a family birth center.
