The posted compensation range of $37.24 - $55.39 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost effective manner. Plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Staff functions in maintaining the physical structure of all equipments in an operative and safe condition in accordance with Governmental, State and other regulating bodies.
- Implement the Preventive, Corrective, Casualty and Fire Prevention Program to meet standards and regulations.
- Assigns daily tasks to Facility Engineers in the performance of their scheduled preventive maintenance and for timely response to requested work orders. Assists Engineers in the performance of their tasks.
- Plan, schedules, implements and documents all fire alarm and sprinkler tests required by TJC Fire Safety Chapter and by the LAFD Regulation 4 requirements. Assures timely correction and documentation of any deficiencies.
- Supervises the Sensotech temperature monitoring system, assuring that all clinical refrigerators and freezers are on the system and monitored continuously. Assigns Facility Engineers to monitor the system during all shifts, responding to any alarms and taking proactive steps to avoid failures.
- Coordinates with outside vendors in the performance of their maintenance contracts and services. Inspects job completion to be in compliance with hospital policy and other regulations.
- Checks and inspects the autonomous Emergency Power Generator at Leavey Hall for its proper operation according to standard operating procedures.
Job Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- 5 years supervisory experience in general maintenance preferably in a Hospital environment.
- Fire Safety, within 90 Days
- Boiler Operator: CA, upon hire
- HVAC, Fire Alarm System
- General knowledge in the Maintenance of HVAC, Pneumatic Tube System, Fire Alarm System. May answer pages, carry a beeper/pager, and/or use a two-way radio.
Preferred
- Bachelors Other in Engineering preferred or otherrelated course., upon hire
