At CommonSpirit Health at Home - National, we strive to embody our mission of delivering hope and healing to those we serve.The Accountant II is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial results for assigned company/business units, providing accounting support to ensure timely and accurate internal and external reporting, including filing deadlines. This role may also include inventory accounting support. Additionally, the Accountant II provides operations management with concise, timely analyses of significant changes, trends, or variances in financial data.

**Essential Key Job Responsibilities:**

- Support CommonSpirit Health at Home’s mission and uphold its values, strategic goals, and customer service standards.
- Adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program, maintaining confidentiality of patient and financial information, including HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis to subsidiary ledgers.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual management reports.
- Analyze operating results continuously to identify trends and potential impacts on future performance.
- Prepare standard and adjusting journal entries.
- Provide accounting support to the General Accounting Department to meet reporting and filing deadlines.
- Maintain controls to ensure the confidentiality of financial and payroll data.
- May lead and participate in quarterly inventory reconciliation processes and reconcile results to the General Ledger.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure proper internal controls in Inventory Accounting.
- Reconcile serialized Subsidiary Rental Equipment inventory to the General Ledger and related depreciation accounts.
- Work with Reimbursement teams to ensure accurate reporting and recognition of Revenue and Accounts Receivable within subsidiary systems.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Candidates must reside in one of the approved remote worker states: AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, NC, ND, NE, NJ, OH, SC, TN, TX, UT, WI

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 1-5 years of inventory accounting experience, preferably in the service industry, along with financial accounting experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (intermediate level).
  • Understanding of computerized accounting systems.
  • Detail-oriented, team player, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
