The posted compensation range of $30.42 - $34.17 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As our Materials Management Technician, you will thoughtfully manage the efficient flow of hospital equipment, supplies, and mail, ensuring that essential resources are received, distributed, and prepared for shipping.
Every day, you will perform crucial courier and mailroom services, meticulously manage inventory through daily counts and data entry, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment, actively contributing to inventory and cycle counting processes.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of inventory management, possess excellent numerical and customer service skills, and be proficient in basic computer operations. You will communicate professionally with all partners, ideally supported by proven inventory or hospital stockroom experience and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality Assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Distributes supplies and equipment to units in a timely fashion.
- Maintains an adequate supply of items to meet area needs including inventory control, proper labeling, and inspection.
- Maintains a neat, clean work environment and utilizing good storage distribution Techniques such as proper location, rotation, identification, documentation, and organization.
- Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
- Attends meetings as required.
Job Requirements
Required
- Previous experience in hospital Central Supply department. (May waive based on operational needs of the department)
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate packaged software programs.
- Ability to read and write legibly, and understand written and/or verbal instructions.
