The posted compensation range of $61.55 - $72.50 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.

Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.

  • Primarily responsible for the radiographic X-ray equipment and archival system. Including daily evaluation of equipment and reporting of repair and maintenance.
  • Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays including DSA and step table. Adjusts equipment, determines proper pulse width, frame rates, digital filtering and collimating. Employs X-ray protective devices.
  • Is responsible for radiation safety as related to patient safety, under the direction of the invasive cardiologist.
  • Participates as a surgical scrub as required. Familiar with aseptic technique. Familiar with Interventional Radiology and cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart caths, current interventional modalities, IVUS, FFR, electrophysiology procedures and implants. Knowledge of potential complications intra- and post- each of these procedures.
  • Participates as the monitor position using the hemodynamic monitoring system for documentation of the procedures performed, sampling and analysis of hemodynamic data including CO; CVP, PA, PCWP, LVEDP waveforms; Valve Area calculations, Shunt calculations.
  • Assists with preparation of lab for procedures including scrub table preparation, QC on Adult and pediatric crash carts, Intra Aortic balloon Pump, ACT machines and other equipment as necessary, assists in assuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition, reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate person/department.


Job Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Must have satisfactorycompletion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry byARRT.
  • Minimum two years recent experience in cardiac cath lab and/or angiographicinterventional radiology
  • Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days and
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days
