The posted compensation range of $57.22 - $85.12 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you'll play a key role in advancing patient care through expert clinical pharmacy services, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. You'll help optimize medication therapy, improve patient outcomes, and lead initiatives that strengthen pharmacy practice across the organization while supporting our mission of providing exceptional care.
Every day you will partner with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to manage complex medication therapies, provide clinical expertise, and support service line initiatives. You'll also mentor pharmacy team members, contribute to quality improvement efforts, and help advance innovative pharmacy practices that enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced clinical knowledge with strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where you can influence practice, mentor future pharmacy professionals, and drive continuous improvement through evidence-based care and a commitment to excellence.
- Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services by optimizing medication therapy and resolving complex medication-related issues for diverse patient populations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
- Lead and support clinical pharmacy programs, quality improvement initiatives, and service line efforts that promote safe and effective medication use.
- Mentor, educate, and precept pharmacists, pharmacy residents, students, and other healthcare professionals to advance clinical knowledge and best practices.
- Document clinical interventions, provide drug information expertise, and ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal standards while supporting safe pharmacy operations.
Job Requirements
- Nebraska Pharmacist License
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
- Residency completion OR 2 years of clinical experience
- Board Certification
