As our Gift Shop Admin Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the operational success and financial health of our hospital gift shop. You will oversee essential retail functions, including inventory control, visual merchandising, and seasonal promotions, while ensuring seamless financial reporting and budget tracking. By bridging the gap between administrative oversight and hands-on retail management, you will contribute to a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and volunteers alike.
Every day you will manage the pulse of our gift shop by reconciling daily receipts, maintaining accurate ledgers, and preparing essential financial reports for our finance department. Your daily responsibilities will involve processing freight, managing point-of-sale inventory, fulfilling website orders, and ensuring our sales floor is impeccably stocked and organized. Additionally, you will provide critical support to our volunteer services team, stepping in to cover shifts, facilitating suggestive selling, and assisting in the coordination of hospital events and banquets to ensure a positive, professional experience for our community.
To be successful in this role, you will possess 1–3 years of retail experience paired with strong analytical skills to manage data, deposits, and accounting processes. You must demonstrate basic computer proficiency in Google Sheets and web-based programs, alongside the ability to multitask effectively without direct supervision. With your commitment to excellent customer service and your capacity for light physical work, you will help us uphold the high standards of service and professionalism required in a healthcare-centered retail environment.
