The posted compensation range of $72.54 - $107.90 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Works collaboratively to provide quality care for patients, families and physicians. Shares technical expertise and
knowledge with other members of the health care team. Provides leadership and oversight in the development of
functions in direct support for the delivery of health services in an integrated fashion. Participates in the
implementation of the established plan of care that meets the needs of the patient.


Maintains a professional demeanor with patients, visitors and other hospital personnel while assuring
confidentiality of patient information. Responsible to the cohesiveness of the department through teamwork,
cooperation and positive behavior, including Department meetings. Assures patient safety and comfort by
proactively identifying potential hazards in the practice setting.


Practices Universal Precautions to protect the patient and health care worker from exposure to blood borne
pathogens. Provides services when needed for percutaneous ventricular assist devices. Establishes Quality
Improvement measures (implements maintains or monitors and documents) within the department.


Practices and establishes departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrates competence in crisis and
emergency situations. Responsible for cost containment and practices cost efficiency. Fulfills mandatory yearly
education required by hospital and departmental policy. Fulfills mandatory yearly education required by hospital
and departmental policy.


Responsible for the orientation of new staff as assigned. Participates in all safety, security and infection control
programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department. Authorized to make
entries in the medical record, consistent with and limited to the scope of the job duties and any applicable

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science and 4-6 years experience preferred

Licensed Perfusionist in Nebraska

Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP)
